  • 10F-CSV - 4 out of 5 stars - Patriot Customer Review - Posted 04/30/16I like this machine It came quick and was easy to assemble and its very easy to maintain. It can be wheeled easily around the yard to where I need it. It takes care of the 3in branches with ease, even red oak. Its fantastic for fall cleanup because I have lots of leaves.  By Raphael, Southbury, CT Read More...
  • CSV-2515 - 5 out of 5 stars - Patriot Customer Review - Posted 04/30/16The electric model was a very good tool before I installed solar panels and an inverter. Now I feel as though the chipper/shredder use gives me all the benefits with even less carbon footprint. Outstanding. I am, however, daunted by sharpening the knives. It is well past time to sharpen them, so I can give a better review after I attempt that task. I have found that the chipper has a hard time with honeysuckle that is far less diameter than the chipper can handle on other woods. That complaint is less on my mind now though because the municipal composting facility will accept it. It is too ba... Read More...
  • CSV-2515 - 4 out of 5 stars - Patriot Customer Review - Posted 04/29/16I use the chipper/shredder on shrub and tree trimmings to turn into mulch for composting, The good: The shredder generally does a good job chipping branches and shredding smaller branches and leaves. I wish it were better at shredding. It doesn't get things small enough and that results in fairly large stringy pieces in the bag. And these large stringy pieces tend to clog the discharge port, which means I have to stop the operation and unclog the port. When I first began using the machine, I would have to dismantle the whole front of the chipper section to unclog it. Now that I am more fami... Read More...
  • CSV-2515 - 5 out of 5 stars - Patriot Customer Review - Posted 04/29/16I think I've had this chipper for at least a dozen years. I have replaced blades and flails which is to be expected. After we were flooded by hurricane Sandy ( Chipper lives outside in the yard and was completely under water in the event) I had to replace the motor. While this machine is not in constant use, it has lasted far longer than I expected and continues to perform as it did when it was new. I live in an urban area with a small growing space and make the most of it with decorative plants and vegetables. This shredder has allowed me to keep almost all the plant waste from my garden area... Read More...
  • CSV-2515 - 4 out of 5 stars - Patriot Customer Review - Posted 04/29/16I have had my electric Patriot Chipper for eight years. Although the electric is not as powerful as the gas version, I preferred the electric for its lower maintenance and quieter operation. It handles everything fed to it except when I get too eager and attempt to chip branches a bit too large. I have learned to use better judgement with experience. The machine is well designed, built sturdily, and reliable.  By John, Palos Verdes Estates, CA Read More...
  • CSV-2515 - 5 out of 5 stars - Patriot Customer Review - Posted 04/29/16I absolutely LOVE my Patriot Chipper/shredder. I garden in a larger yard, and every year cut down all of the growth, plus the leaves from a large mulberry tree, and needles from Ponderosa Pine, and shred them to use for mulch, garden paths, and to use the leaves to create compost. My husband bought my chipper/shredder for me, and teases me by telling others that most wives would like diamond rings or jewelry, but Mary wanted a chipper/shredder!!  By Mary, Albuquerque, NM Read More...
  • CSV-2515 - 5 out of 5 stars - Patriot Customer Review - Posted 04/29/16Things I love: bulletproof engineering, made in USA, patriot products customer service Things I would add or change: - add a storage hook for safety glasses, hearing protection and extension cables -- I need to hunt these things down every time I use the shredder - find a way to make changing knives easier - provide a mail-in service to get my knives sharpened (obviously for a fee) - an option for bigger wheels - I have to lug my shredder up two sets of stairs to get to the back garden and he wheels are just a little too small. Bigger wheels would prevent the engine cowling from banging o... Read More...
  • CSV-3100B - 4 out of 5 stars - Patriot Customer Review - Posted 04/29/16The wheels could be larger as it can be hard to roll. An on\off switch would be nice.Having a hopper that would fold down, making leave raking easier.  By Ricky, Mocksville, NC Read More...

  • CSV - 3 out of 5 stars - Patriot Customer Review - Posted 04/29/16I find that the shredder is very good for leaves to prepare them for compost. It has good vacuum power to suck leaves through the collection hose. The plastic intake section of the hose where the handle attaches is weak and I have had to repair it where the handle has torn out. I am most disappointed with the chipper. Trying to send anything larger than a 1/4" down the chipper chute means there will be a long wait for the item to chip. The narrow throat of the chipper prevents sending even small branches in until I have stripped all of the branches off. Curved branches will not go either. The ... Read More...
